The rugby shirt is one of those pieces of sportswear history that never really went away, and Taylor Stitch's take stays true to the original. A hefty 12-oz organic cotton jersey body, a contrasting twill collar and heavyweight ribbed cuffs give it the solid, vintage feel of the shirts worn when the sport was born.

We love the little details: rubber buttons, originally used to survive heavy clashes on the pitch, a three-button placket with a collar stand and natural twill tape at the neck. It's been washed, too, so it feels soft and lived-in from the very first wear.

Wear it with chinos or jeans and a pair of boots for a relaxed weekend look, or layer it under an overshirt or chore jacket when the weather turns.
