The Carnegie Pant from Taylor Stitch: a proper pair of chinos in a sturdy, chunky corduroy. Clean tailoring gives them a smart silhouette that's easy to dress up when the occasion calls, whilst the tough cloth means they're far from precious.

Vintage-inspired button-through flaps on the back pockets and dark horn-coloured buttons finish them nicely. Wear them with a chunky knit and boots for a relaxed weekend look, or with an Oxford shirt and a tweed jacket when you want to smarten up. Corduroy like this only gets better with age.
