The M59 Jacket

Write a review
This military-inspired jacket refers to the model M/1959 adopted by the Swedish Army in 1959.  A new combat uniform was introduced in 1959, m / 1959. It was made of cotton fabric and olive green color.  This uniform was mainly intended for summer, while the previous combat uniform m / 1958 became the stipulated winter uniform.

Made from 100% BUREL Wool (820gr/m) from Portugal and more precisely from the mountainous region of the Serra da Estrela . Made from pure virgin sheep's wool, durable and very resistant, this wool was once used by shepherds to make warm and waterproof capes very useful for the harsh climatic conditions of the mountains of northern Portugal.
The authenticity of BUREL results from a sequence of specific operations in the manufacturing process.  The wool after being sheared, washed, spun, put to warping in the organ and woven on the loom, walked on a machine called fuller, beating and scalding wool transforming the fabric (see) in the bag, making it tighter, harder and waterproof.
